GIZ has been active in Nepal since 1975 on behalf of the German
Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and
opened its own office in the capital, Kathmandu, in 1979. At present 25
seconded staff and about 250 national staff, 9 CIM experts and 24
development workers, 6 of them working under the auspices of the Civil
Peace Service (CPS), are working for us in Nepal.
